Privacy Policy

We keep this simple: this site collects as little data as possible, sets no tracking cookies, and runs no third-party analytics. Below is everything that happens with your data, in plain English.

2. Hosting and server logs

When you visit this site, our hosting and content-delivery provider automatically processes technical access data — your IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, browser type and referrer — in server logs. We use this solely for the secure and reliable operation of the site (defence against attacks, error analysis). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Log data is deleted automatically on the provider’s standard schedule and is not merged with other data.

3. Booking a call

If you book a call through the scheduler, we process the details you enter — name, e-mail address, optional phone number, your chosen meeting platform and any note you add — solely to schedule and hold the call. To send you the calendar invitation (including a Google Meet link where you choose Google Meet), your name and e-mail address are transmitted to Google (Google Ireland Ltd.) as part of the calendar event. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, at your request). We keep booking data only as long as needed to handle the call and any follow-up you request.

4. Free guides and newsletter

If you request one of our free guides or subscribe to the newsletter, we process your e-mail address to deliver the guide and/or send the newsletter. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time — every mailing contains an unsubscribe option, or simply e-mail us. Your address is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.

5. Website rank check

The “rank check” tool on our homepage sends the website address you enter directly from your browser to Google’s PageSpeed Insights API to fetch live scores. The address you enter is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. For Google’s handling of that request, see Google’s privacy policy.

6. Videos

All video content on this site is self-hosted on the same infrastructure as the site itself. No third-party video provider is contacted when you watch, and no viewing profiles are created.

7. Cookies, tracking and analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies and uses no third-party analytics, advertising pixels or social-media plugins. Social networks are only linked (plain links) — no data flows to them unless you click a link.

8. Contact by e-mail

If you e-mail us, we process your address and the content of your message to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Recipients

We share personal data only with the service providers technically required to run this site (hosting / content delivery) and — for call bookings — with Google as described in section 3. We do not sell personal data and do not transfer it to third parties for their own marketing.

10. Storage periods

We store personal data only as long as required for the purposes above or as long as statutory retention obligations (e.g. commercial and tax law) require.

11. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — for us, the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (LfD Niedersachsen).
